Join Alliance Française Halifax, the Halifax Public Gardens and Cecilia Concerts for “An Evening in the Park”. The event begins with a free French language tour of the Halifax Public Gardens at 5:00PM, followed by a free concert at 6:00PM featuring soprano Patricia O’Callaghan, pianist Robert Kortgaard, and bassist Andrew Downing. Trained as an opera singer, the versatile O’Callaghan has six solo albums and many collaborations to her credit. She has the unique ability to blend a variety of languages and musical genres seamlessly together. Drawing upon her ability to speak French, German and Spanish the evening’s concert repertoire will include classically-inspired works perfect for a summer’s evening in the spectacular beauty of the Halifax Public Gardens.

L’Alliance Française Halifax, Cecilia Concerts et  Friends of the Public Gardens vous invitent à la soirée GRATUITE”An Evening in the Park”. L’événement commencera à 17h par une visite guidée en français des jardins publics d’Halifax. La soirée se poursuivra ensuite avec le concert à 18h de Patricia O’Callaghan, chanteuse soprano, Andrew Downing, contrebassiste et Robert Kortgaart, pianiste. Avec une formation classique de chanteuse d’opéra, Patricia O’Callaghan est une artiste polyvalente qui compte six albums et de nombreuses collaborations à son actif. Le programme de cette soirée comprendra des œuvres d’inspiration classiques en français, en allemand et en espagnol. Un répertoire parfait pour passer une magnifique soirée d’été en contemplant la beauté des jardins publics situés au centre-ville d’Halifax !
